BM4F’s DC Climate Resiliency Training is unique because there is a robust intersection between climate emergency preparedness and lead hazard reduction–an issue that is greatly exacerbated by climate change and extreme weather. This training will prepare DC residents for threats of climate disaster including but not limited to flooding, extreme weather, extreme heat (and cold–snow storms), etc. Community members will be introduced to the concept of climate crisis resiliency and more long-term investments in additional skill-building and capacity-building surrounding emergency preparedness.
