Summary

Summit Ridge Energy (“SRE”) is seeking a Project Finance Intern interested in breaking into the renewable energy field. This role will support the development of financial models, analytical tools, and presentation materials that enable the marketing, structuring, negotiation, and closing of investments in the company’s portfolio of projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models.
  • Assist with transaction execution and financial closing process for multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Support in preparing the informational materials shared externally with potential investors and lenders.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Project Finance team- and company-wide analytical tools and trackers.
  • Support the Project Finance team’s communication with all company business units (origination, development, operations, construction, legal) to estimate and track appropriate assumptions and internalize financing conditions and requirements into company processes.
  • Assist Project Finance team members in negotiating and closing project financing deals.

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Working towards a 4-year college degree in finance, economics, energy, sustainability, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong project management skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to peers, management, and other relevant parties.
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to change process or direction based on evolving circumstances or management direction.
  • Strong work ethic, ambition, and drive
  • Desire and enthusiasm to build a career in the renewables industry.
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
