SUMMER INTERN 2024

About Segue: Segue Sustainable Infrastructure is an investment firm providing development capital to renewable energy
projects across North America. We are industry veterans who have converted our frontline experience to an investment
model built on providing developers with the capital and support they need to turn ideas into power plants. Our portfolio
currently holds 100+ projects, totaling 20+ GW across 11 power markets.
About the Internship: Segue is seeking a Summer Intern to join our team and play a key role throughout the lifecycle of
Segue’s investment process. Candidates will have a unique opportunity to join a small firm with an established track record
and footprint across the U.S. and Canada. The Summer Intern will support due diligence and financial analysis on new
deals, and portfolio management for existing investments. Additionally, the Summer Intern will be able to lead a research
project of their choosing within Segue’s purview (clean energy infrastructure that includes, but is not limited to: solar,
wind, battery storage, EV charging, clean fuels, energy markets, and more). Work will center on the development of
sustainable real assets capable of near-term impact, that do not have a dependency on technological breakthroughs.
Candidates should share our values of creativity, thought leadership, a healthy work-life balance, and the value of being a
generalist with a constant desire to learn and grow.
Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities

sensitivities.
• Portfolio management support: Support the back-end functions of the business to streamline investment
operations.
Market / technology research: Proactively conduct research into new markets, trends and technologies.
Qualifications
• 2-5 years’ experience with a proven ability to thrive in a low-structured environment
• Experience or demonstrated interest in the energy industry; finance or project development experience a plus
• Excellent research, analytical, communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize complex financial and
technical issues, mathematically, verbally, and in writing
• Comfortable being the architect of processes, not just a follower thereof; OK with situations where there’s not an
obvious “answer” or best practice and being asked to propose one
• Knows what it means to take accountability/responsibility for something, and comfortable carrying burden of
troubleshooting/problem-solving to achieve a result
• Scrutinizing eye with the capacity to work with imperfect or incomplete information
Location: Preference for San Francisco, CA, but may consider remote
Compensation: $35-$40 per hour, 40 hours per week, for 10 weeks. Relocation package for all or part of the summer.
While we do not have a structured hiring process for a full-time position, our goal for the internship is to find a new fulltime team member for the summer of 2025.
Applications: Candidates should submit a resume with a brief cover email to [email protected]. Learn more about
