Wes Gobar is a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He currently works for the climate policy advocacy organization, Evergreen Action. As Coalitions Lead, Wes manages and develops partner and movement relationships for Evergreen. He is also a part-time Program Coordinator at Governing for Impact with a portfolio focused on criminal justice reform. Wes previously served as a Confidential Assistant and Executive aide to Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring. Wes’s interest in advocacy began in Charlottesville as a racial justice student organizer while attending the University of Virginia, where he studied History. Wes’s writing has been published in Vox and the Washington Post.
